Delete Account & Data

Under GDPR and UK data protection laws, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. UltimateMatchday respects this right and provides a straightforward process for account and data deletion.

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

• Account Information: Email, username, profile data
• Authentication Data: Passwords, login tokens, sessions
• Preferences: Theme settings, favorite teams, alert preferences
• Predictions: All your match predictions and scores
• Subscription Data: Billing history, payment methods
• Activity Data: Page views, clicks, usage statistics
• User-Generated Content: Reviews, comments, ratings
• Referrals: Referral codes and rewards data

For legal and regulatory compliance, we must retain certain data:

• Financial Records: Stripe transaction records (7 years for tax purposes)
• Fraud Prevention: Records of Terms of Service violations
• Legal Disputes: Data related to ongoing legal matters
• Aggregated Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics

Retained data is anonymized where possible and kept only as long as legally required.

Cancel Active Subscriptions

If you have an active premium subscription:

• Cancel your subscription first via Profile → Manage Subscription
• Wait for the current billing period to end
• No refunds are provided for unused subscription time
• Deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions

Alternative: Deactivate Instead

Consider deactivating your account instead of deleting it:

• Keeps your data for potential reactivation
• Maintains prediction history and statistics
• Can be reactivated at any time
• Contact support@ultimatematchday.com to deactivate

Export Your Data

Before deletion, you can request a copy of your data:

• Email support@ultimatematchday.com with subject "Data Export Request"
• Receive a JSON file with all your personal data
• Processing time: 48-72 hours

Step 1: Request Deletion

Click the "Request Account Deletion" button below, or email support@ultimatematchday.com with subject "Delete My Account"

Step 2: Verification

We'll send a verification email to confirm your identity and intent. Click the link in the email to proceed.

Step 3: Grace Period

You have a 14-day grace period to change your mind. Your account will be deactivated but not deleted during this time.

Step 4: Permanent Deletion

After 14 days, your account and data are permanently deleted from our systems. You'll receive a final confirmation email.

Timeline

• Immediate: Account deactivated, login disabled
• 14 Days: Grace period for cancellation
• 15 Days: Data permanently deleted
• 30 Days: Backups purged

During the 14-day grace period, you can cancel your deletion request by:

• Clicking the cancellation link in your deletion confirmation email
• Emailing support@ultimatematchday.com with subject "Cancel Deletion"
• Logging back into your account (if possible)

After the grace period expires, deletion cannot be reversed.

Once your account is deleted:

• You cannot log in
• Your email address is freed for new registrations
• All personal data is erased from our systems
• Referral links stop working
• You lose access to all premium features
• Your predictions and statistics are removed from leaderboards

We'll delete data we control, but some data exists with third parties:

• Stripe: Keeps financial records per their retention policy
• Google Ads: May retain anonymous tracking data
• Email Provider: May retain email logs temporarily
